Michael J. Rivero
Michael J. Rivero is a partner in the firm's St. Petersburg office. He focuses his practice in the areas of professional liability, premises liability, personal injury defense, nursing home and assisted living facility defense, medical malpractice, general liability and first-party property litigation.
Michael began his career practicing criminal defense as an assistant public defender with the Office of the Public Defender, Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. He later worked for a large civil litigation firm where he represented insureds in complex litigation with high exposure in the areas of long term care defense, medical malpractice, professional liability and general liability. He takes pride in his proficient handling of a large civil litigation caseload while providing a thorough analysis of key issues and defense strategies to resolve cases expediently and effectively.
Michael received his law degree from Stetson University College of Law and Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, graduating with a major in literature. He is licensed to practice in all Florida state and federal courts as well as in all Texas state courts.
